Newburgh residents worried amid spate of shootings

A weekend filled with violence in Newburgh has residents concerned about the safety of their neighborhood.

Newburgh police say multiple people were shot around 1 a.m. Friday on Broadway Street.

Another report says that an additional shooting took place just an hour later near Broad and Grant streets, leaving one person hospitalized.

There is no word from police if any arrests have been made in either case, but officials say that full investigations are underway.

As News 12 reported, several people were also injured outside the Oasis Bar last weekend.
