Yonkers events held to ease police relations

Local police officers and residents took part in the annual "National Night Out" event on Tuesday.

National Night Out is held to promote relationships between the community and police officers. Residents were able to meet local officers, as well as the canines who assist them.

Restaurants donated food for the public to enjoy, and numerous activities were held for kids attending the event.

Four free events were scheduled in Yonkers, including the one at Andrus Park.
