Spring snow begins to fall across the Hudson Valley

Snow is falling across the Hudson Valley today, despite being the first day of spring.

News 12 meteorologists say that about 2 to 5 inches is expected for the region, and between 1 and 3 inches in areas in the I-84 corridor.

There could be moderate to heavy bursts of snow before the storm clears out between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The moderate snowfall could mean snow-covered roadways impacting the evening commute.

The weekend is expected to be sunny but chilly, with high temperatures in the 30s and 40s.
