White Plains prepares to party like it's 2012
The city of White Plains is preparing for thousands of people to pack downtown tomorrow night for the Hudson Valley's biggest New Year's Eve party.
The White Plains New Year's Eve Extravaganza 2012 is set to be a huge street party that will span Court Street and Renaissance Square. The 12th annual event is scheduled from 10:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m., and will feature music, dancing and fireworks. A huge 370-pound ball of sparkly LED lights will drop as revelers count down the seconds left in 2011. News 12 will have live coverage of the New Year's Eve celebration in downtown White Plains all night tomorrow, including the ball drop at midnight and beyond.
