As shoppers click away this Cyber Monday looking for online holiday bargains, FedEx employees will be working extra hard to help get those gifts under the tree just in time.
Trucks at the FedEx Ship Center at the Harlem River Yard, along with many others across the world, are estimated to ship more than 20 million packages today, the busiest e-commerce day of the year.
About 175 employees as well as seasonal temps at the Bronx facility help get the packages delivered by Christmas.
According to Ginny Martinez, the facility's senior manager, Dec. 15 is the heaviest shipping day with about 22.6 million packages - double a normal day.
