State funds overpass repairs in the Bronx

Overpasses in the Bronx will be undergoing renovations over the next year, thanks to a new state-funded project.

The $12.5 million plan calls for a complete replacement of concrete decks and new lighting. Overpasses being repaired include the Throgs Neck overpasses on Pennyfield and Lafayette avenues, along with the Bruckner overpass at Castle Hill Avenue.

The project is set to be completed in the spring of 2016.
