Bitter cold temps set record lows
The bitter New York City air has set new temperature records.
News 12 meteorologists say that the 22 and 23-degree temperatures early Wednesday smashed previous record lows set at JFK and La Guardia airports back in 2008.
People are taking the cold weather in stride, making sure to bundle up in extra layers with hats, gloves and scarves.
The good news is that temperatures are expected to warm up. The bad news is that winter hasn't even officially started yet.
