Union apartment complex suffers heat problem

Some senior Union residents are bundling up because their building has no heat or hot water.

Residents at 950 Union Ave. say their NYCHA-owned complex has had heating issues in the past, but none have been this bad. They say the heat has been off since Saturday night.

Residents tells News 12 that the heat comes on primarily during the week, but shuts off randomly on the weekends.

People living in the apartments say they have had to layer their clothing or turn on the stove for warmth.

NYCHA has not yet responded to News 12 about the recurring heat problem.
