State troopers from Hawthorne played a crucial role in the arrest of a Bronx man on charges related to drug trafficking.
According to reports, troopers from Hawthorne gathered information indicating drug sales in the Bronx area. They then collaborated with the New York City Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor to obtain a search warrant for Juan Rondon's residence.
Last Wednesday, troopers executed the warrant at Rondon's house, where they made a significant discovery.
Inside the residence, they found approximately 12 kilograms of cocaine along with $3 million in cash.
Juan Rondon, aged 60, was subsequently charged with operating as a major trafficker and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
