Rockland County continues to rally behind a New City firefighter recovering from a life-threatening illness.
A fundraiser was held this weekend to help assist Will McCue adjust to his new handicap-friendly living space.
McCue was hospitalized for the flu back in January, which developed into pneumonia and sepsis.  Doctors had to amputate both of his hands, his left foot and right leg.
McCue says he's overwhelmed by the support of his friends, family, and fellow firefighters. "I know everyone's here for me and I really appreciate that. I can't express how thankful I am, this is great."
Besides raising money for McCue, people were also celebrating new firefighting equipment that will help keep the community safe.
