Police search for 2 men in string of robberies in the Bronx
Police are searching for two men they believe are responsible for multiple robberies in the Bronx from August through November.
The crime spree began in August when a 22-year-old man went into a car to buy a hooded sweatshirt on Watson Avenue, and was then held at gunpoint. News 12 is told the suspects got away with jewelry and a sweatshirt.
Six days later, police say the suspects pointed a gun at a 53-year-old man who was in his car and demanded money. The men got away with almost $200.
Police say surveillance video from a recent robbery on Nov. 1 shows the men punching a 20-year-old man before taking off with his cellphone on Westchester Avenue.
Police say the suspects struck again in Soundview, robbing another driver at gunpoint on Bruckner Boulevard. News 12 is told the men stole the victims $2,000 Louis Vuitton bag.
All four of these robberies happened within just a few blocks of each other.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
