Police say one person was shot twice, once in the leg and once in the shoulder. He was taken to Westchester Medical Center and is listed in stable condition
Clarkstown police say two people were arrested, and one gun was recovered.
Police say they are investigating who shot first and do not know how many shots were fired, but that they were fired by the DEA.
DEA agents were surveilling the two suspects.
The general manager from the DoubleTree by Hilton released a statement saying the shooting took place in the parking lot of the hotel around 5:15 p.m. and that at no time were any guests in danger and they are cooperating with police.
Agents had the hotel cordoned off for hours as they conducted their investigation. People in the area say it was all very frightening.
Police say there is no cause for concern for hotel guests or people who live in the area because both suspects involved are in custody.
No officers were injured in the incident. DEA officials say they are continuing their investigating and they have the lead on this case.
