Officials: Person rescued after falling onto train tracks of Croton-Harmon Metro-North station

Officials said the person fell off the platform and on to the electrified tracks at around 10:30 a.m.

The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department says a person is recovering after falling onto the train tracks Friday morning at the Croton-Harmon Metro-North station.
Officials said the person fell off the platform and on to the electrified tracks at around 10:30 a.m.
The victim's father ran to try and save his son.
MTA Metro-North canceled the train that was coming into the station.
Officials hoisted the victim onto the platform and he was cared for by EMS.
Both father and son were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
