A local business and its loyal customers are raising money for the hurricane victims in Puerto Rico.
The Mamaroneck Diner hosted a fundraiser Thursday and said 100 percent of its profits will go toward relief efforts. Organizers say any money made on meals will help the victims.
Organizers teamed up with Habitat for Humanity and asked people to bring in nonperishable foods and dry goods such as diapers, Band-Aids and new clothing. Large water jugs also collected cash donations.
One diner from out of town said he was happy to help, "I travel here for work quite a bit and this is my favorite restaurant and to find out that breakfast goes to a good cause makes it all the better."
