The Lionsgate Studios complex along the Hudson River partially opened Tuesday - and plans to expand the space by another 500,000-square-feet are underway.

It's set to includes another 11 state-of-the-art sound stages.
The production company says it hopes the space will become a hub for global production activities.
When completed, it will be one of the largest studios in the northeast.
