A woman from Hudson County who died back in January will be remembered at her graduation today.

Tara Lynn Balcer, 33, was studying to be a teacher at Hudson County Community College before she passed away.

Her family asked the college to mention her name during the graduation ceremony.

Her sister, Andrea Buzinkai, had been petitioning the school to mention Balcer at graduation.

Buzinkai says she wrote the school 70 emails before officials even responded.

The college initially declined, saying they'd put her name in the yearbook, but school administrators now say her name will be read today, followed by a moment of silence.
