Halloween tips aimed to make the day less scary
Halloween brings a fun time for kids, however, there are ways to make the day a little less scary.
Kids and adults say they love going to the Kingsley Deli in North Salem on Halloween. The deli is transformed into the Haunted Devil?s Deli, complete with scary decorations and a staff in costumes. The owner says the tradition started eight years ago and gets bigger and better each year.
With safety in mind, the Yonkers Police Department has a curfew in place for kids out alone. Children under 11 years old must be home at 10 p.m. while 12 and 13-year-olds have a curfew of 10:30 p.m. Teens 14 to 16 must be home by 11 p.m.
State police are out on ?pumpkin patrol? looking for Halloween pranksters. Some officers will be stationed along the New York State Thruway to make sure no pumpkins are dropped from overpasses. To see more of the Haunted Devil?s Deli, go to channel 612 on your iO digital cable box and click on iO Extra.
