The girlfriend of the estranged husband of a missing New Canaan mother appeared in court Thursday.
Michelle Troconis appeared before a judge in Stamford for a hearing connected to charges she faces in the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos.
The hearing lasted less than two minutes, with the judge continuing the case until Aug. 19.
Troconis’ attorney Andrew Bowman told the judge that she's been in total compliance with conditions of her bail, but that her recent trip out of state ended early because her GPS ankle bracelet wasn't working.
“She was back here because the GPS was not working, so it was better for her to be back in Connecticut,” Bowman said.
One of the requirements of her being able to travel was that she come back if the electronic monitoring had problems.
Troconis was allowed to leave the state to stay with a friend over the July Fourth weekend.
Jennifer's estranged husband Fotis Dulos and Troconis are both charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence in the case. Both entered a not guilty plea.
Police say the two were seen on surveillance video throwing away evidence containing Jennifer Dulos’ blood.
Jennifer Dulos was last seen May 24, dropping her kids off at school.
Dulos isn't due back in court until next month, but on Wednesday his attorneys filed a motion asking the judge to order the medical records of Jennifer Dulos to be released.
Attorney Norm Pattis claims Jennifer Dulos had $14,000 worth of tests done earlier this year.
"The defendant seeks the medical records to evaluate whether Ms. Dulos, alarmed by her diagnosis and fearing that she might not be able to raise the children on her own, took steps to cause her own disappearance in such a way as to raise suspicions about Mr. Dulos,” Pattis said.
