With temperatures falling across the Hudson Valley, a cold rain could turn into a wintry mix in some parts of the region.
News 12 meteorologists say temperatures in northern Westchester, Rockland and Orange counties will drop to the freezing mark this afternoon possibly creating sleet. Areas such as Ulster County may even see snow.
The rain, for today, is expected to end this evening. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing in many parts of the area, causing any standing moisture to freeze and create black ice.
