A White Plains firefighter accused in a fatal drunken driving accident is facing more legal trouble.
Erik Refvik's attroney Andrew Quinn entered a not guilty plea to charges that include aggravated vehicular homicide and manslaughter.
Prosecutors now say the Revfik's blood alcohol level was 2 1/2 times the legal limit when he drove the wrong way on South Lexington Avenue. Blood tests found a toxic cocktail that included cocaine, synthetic marijuana and prescription drugs for controlling seizures and bipolar disorder.
The November collision killed Reyda LaMadrid and injured her husband while they were delivering newspapers.
Prosecutors say LaMadrid was stopped at a traffic light when Refvik's car came barreling down South Lexington Avenue. He allegedly pushed her car the distance of a half a football field and it wound up in the lobby of a building.
Refvik's bail was raised from $25,000 to 50,000. He was taken away in handcuffs at the end of his court hearing.
