Jesse Frank, an Orange County resident, has been sentenced to 8 years behind bars for burglarizing a home in Unionville and threatening the homeowners' lives. Frank admitted to kicking down the door of the homeowner's residence armed with a knife. Investigators revealed that he used the knife to inflict serious injuries on the victim, including breaking their eye socket and cutting their hand. Fortunately, the victim managed to flee and alert the authorities. In addition to his prison term, Frank has been sentenced to five years of probation.

David Johnson of Middletown has been sentenced to six years in prison for robbing a man outside a grocery store. According to the Orange County district attorney, Johnson assaulted the victim by grabbing him by the throat, knocking him to the ground, and repeatedly punching him until he lost consciousness. Johnson then proceeded to steal the victim's wallet before fleeing the scene. In addition to his prison sentence, Johnson will serve five years of probation.

Rye police are urging residents to lock their cars after releasing footage of two suspects breaking into an unlocked BMW and stealing personal belongings.
