A Stony Point fifth-grader is getting some much needed help, thanks to a robot.

Vincent Forzono, 10, was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus at 2 years old. His mother says it is a rare condition that causes fluid to build up throughout her son's body, and has sent him into surgery 24 times.

He has missed half of the school year since attending kindergarten.

In March, the North Rockland School District gave him an interactive robot that sits in his place in class so that he can talk, listen, look and learn from home.

Vincent is the first North Rockland student to use technology. His mother says she's not sure just yet if he will return to class next year or continue to use the robot from home.
