When it comes to making something out of nothing, 68-year-old Norman enjoys finding things in the trash and creating speakers.

News 12 reporter Joanna Hernandez met with him in the Bronx, where he showed us his apartment filled with creative items he makes all on his own.

"In Saint Thomas, I made music for big disco halls. I used to make big speakers, believe me, and furniture too. When I moved to New York City, I started to work in construction work,” Norman says.

Nowadays people from the Bronx know him as Goldy for his extravagant wardrobe and his speakers that he strolls around in the summer.

“I see something that can work and I bring it home. When I look at the things I make, I can’t believe it. I don’t know where it comes from but it just comes,” Norman shares.
