State police are looking into whether distracted driving is the cause of a deadly multi-car crash on the Taconic Parkway in Yorktown.

Officials say no charges have been filed at this point, and they are looking at all possible angles to determine the exact cause of the horrific crash that killed three people.

According to investigators, it was just before 3 p.m. on Saturday when Nerim Sinanovic, 33, of the Bronx was driving his BMW sport utility vehicle northbound on the Taconic State Parkway near Baldwin Road in Yorktown. Suddenly, Sinanovic veered off the road and crashed into the embankment and center median. The car went airborne and landed on two other cars in the southbound lanes.

Sinanovic's 2-year-old daughter Leona was killed in the crash.

In another car, mother and daughter - Ledell Mulvaney, 61, and Katherine Mulvaney, 31, both of Brooklyn, died from their injuries.

A total of four cars were involved in the crash. Eight other people were injured.

Police say Nerim Sinanovic, his wife, and other 1-year-old daughter were treated at Westchester Medical Center. The three of them are listed in stable condition.

Police say at this point no charges have been filed, and they do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
