The Ambulatory Care Pavilion at the Westchester Medical Center opened its doors for a sneak peek at its new $230 million project.

The center poured more than $200 million into the outpatient facility it is hoping will revolutionize medicine in the Hudson Valley.

It features a 280,000-square-foot ambulatory care pavilion, which is adjacent to the main hospital, as well as high-tech operating rooms, cutting edge MRI and CT scanners and other futuristic medical technological devices for the heart that will allow the hospital to deliver medical care on a whole new level.

The medical center is the latest Hudson Valley hospital spending hundreds of millions to attract new patients.

White Plains Hospital announced last month that it is spending $270 million on a new nine-story outpatient clinic. The CEO of the medical center says the competition is welcome, and believes this kind of  investment will be good for the community because not only does it bring jobs and prestige to Westchester, but it is creating spaces where patients are getting the highest of medical care.

There will be a rolling opening over the summer, but it will start treating patients next week.
