Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano signed zoning legislation Tuesday to allow businesses to develop in the so-called Carpet Mills Arts District.
One of the buildings in the zone designated for the arts is located at 530 Nepperhan Ave.
The 170,000-square-foot building was converted into arts lofts that feature unique furniture and antiques.
Manhattan arts enthusiast Randolph Rose owns the building, with his family overseeing many of the galleries located there.
