Dog lovers and pet owners are expected to gather at FDR Park this weekend for the annual SPCA Westchester Dog Walk and Pet Fair.

The event features a trail walk, agility playground, kids activities and a pet-themed vendor village. It runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

SPCA Westchester's Lisa Bonnano said the fundraiser is especially important as adoptions have declined in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We really want to encourage people to see the animals we have for adoption," Bonnano said. "Come out, see if we have a good match. We almost always do."
