Yorktown police to host fundraiser in honor of fallen officer
The fundraiser will take place Wednesday at River Outpost in Peekskill from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Yorktown police will hold a fundraiser Wednesday in honor of Capt. Kenneth Sgroi, who died suddenly at age 37.
Sgroi was known for his humility and charity. He left behind a wife and two children.
The event will take place at River Outpost in Peekskill from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be food, raffles and T-shirts handed out.
A $40 donation is required to attend. Checks can be made payable to the Yorktown Lions Club, with the name Kenny Sgroi in the memo section.
