Evelyn Jimenez, 17, and 15-year-old Violet Munroe had been missing for over a week.
The department issued the following statement:
"Thank you to all who demonstrated sincere care and concern and locating Violet and Evelyn. We are now happy to report that both girls have been located and are safe. We thank all our partners in law-enforcement, who worked tirelessly with us to locate Violet and Evelyn. Special thank you to Special Agent P. Goulet and all of the members of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force who worked with Yorktown Police Department detectives and New York State Police investigators around the clock and ultimately located Violet and Evelyn today."
