People in Yorktown Heights headed out to the polls Tuesday evening to vote on a loan being requested by the fire department.
The fire district is looking to borrow $1.5 million to renovate the station on Locksley Road.
Firefighters say the station, which was built in the 1960s, has major problems including leaks.
The vote passed by a margin of 176-159.
