9ds agoThe Valedictorian and salutatorian from the Yonkers district's eight high schools were honored at a celebration in Hastings-On-Hudson.
The event was part of the board of trustees' annual breakfast that recognizes the hard work the future high school graduates have put in, despite the pandemic.
The celebration comes as Yonkers Public Schools see a continuous climb in its graduation rate.
Last year, the district had a 91% graduation rate -- the state’s average is 86%.
