A boy is accused of stabbing a teenager at a party thrown for the victim who was preparing to leave the troubled streets of Yonkers.

Family members say 15-year-old Michael Pagan would have left for Florida Saturday, but his 12-year-old friend allegedly stabbed Pagan on Friday because of an earlier argument. Pagan?s sister says the boy, who also lives on Victor Street, also tried to stab Pagan?s other friend. Pagan is expected to recover and may be released Monday from the hospital.

The 12-year-old remains in police custody. Neighbors say the incident highlights the common problem of Yonkers youth wreaking havoc on the streets.
