Students at Roosevelt High School in Yonkers gathered for a pep rally not only to show their school spirit, but to walk for breast cancer.
English teacher Cassandra McLean's mother Hawa McLean died of breast cancer last year after battling the disease for a decade.
On Friday, students walked around the Tuckahoe Road track. They also became involved last year by forming "Team Mommy" in support of McLean.
Money raised by the students will go toward helping those dealing with breast cancer.
