Stop and Shop in Yonkers’ Cross County Shopping Center plans to donate hundreds of food boxes to local food pantries and families in need.
"To give back to the community is just a wonderful feeling and to be able to give those boxes to someone that has a family with kids and that are hungry for the holiday season is just us as Stop and Shop, giving back to the needy," says Stop and Shop manager Stephen Neilsen.
Stop and Shop supermarket chain donates about 100,000 food boxes per year. The operation was put into action to help fight hunger nationwide.
