A former Yonkers School Board member appeared before a judge Thursday after allegedly swimming naked in a neighbor?s pool without permission in Briarcliff Manor.
Tom Weibrecht, the Yonkers capitol project director, is facing trespassing and exposure charges, but now it appears he may get a plea deal.
The incident happened Saturday, when someone who lives near 463 Chappaqua Rd. in Briarcliff Manor reported to police that Weibrecht was nude and drinking a case of beer while dipping in a pool of a nearby house.
The house is not occupied, but the owners often return to swim and allow friends to use their pool.
But police say the former Yonkers School Board vice president did not have permission to take a dip. Police arrested Weibrecht while he was walking back to his house down the road.
Weibrecht has reportedly separated from his wife and resides in Briarcliff Manor, although his legal residence is in Yonkers.
Yonkers city officials declined to comment on Weibrecht's arrest or the charges against him. Sources say no disciplinary action will be taken against him until the criminal case is over.
Weibrecht is scheduled to appear in Mount Pleasant court again on Sept.11.
