A Yonkers homeless shelter is making sure no one goes hungry this Thanksgiving.
Workers at the Sharing Community will be feeding about 500 people. They even served breakfast as they were preparing for a turkey feast, so those less fortunate get a full meal in the morning. Garcett Henry has been in charge of the Thanksgiving dinner at the shelter for 15 years. He and his staff cooked 40 turkeys, 10 cases of yams, 10 cases of frozen vegetables and more. Henry says this Thanksgiving tradition is worth it.
The Sharing Community will be serving until everyone has had a Thanksgiving dinner.
