This year's Riverfest in Yonkers has been entirely canceled, as announced by Yonkers Downtown and Waterfront Business Improvement District through a Facebook post.
The annual event was initially postponed due to extensive rain and flooding in the area.
However, a rescheduled date was never determined due to uncertainty surrounding potential weather conditions.
The organizing committee also faced challenges in finding a date and location that worked for all vendors and musicians.
Next year, which marks the 30th anniversary of Riverfest, will be dedicated to planning a bigger event.
