Police in Yonkers arrested 18 people in a series of drug raids in the southwest side of the city.
Police executed four search warrants on buildings on Elm Street, Elliot Avenue and Intervale Place. The raid on Intervale Place netted 12 arrests, marijuana and cocaine. Police found heroin and ammunition in other raids and nabbed six more people.
Residents say they are happy about the arrests and want to see an end to the drug dealing in the neighborhood.
