Children in Yonkers were sent home with over 300 toys Wednesday, thanks to the Yonkers Police Department.
The department held its annual toy giveaway at the PAL Center - giving away gifts to families who might not be able to afford them this holiday season.
"Toys are something that many families just can't afford because they can't afford to put food on the table. So, you know we kind of want to make their holiday season a little bit better in a little bit easier," Sgt. Laura Yakaboski says.
The department says it received more than 1,000 toys for this year's toy drive.
