The Yonkers Police Department is recommending that shoppers consider getting packages delivered a place of employment during work hours.
They say it is important to use tracking numbers and delivery notifications. That way, shoppers are alerted the minute the package arrives.
Yonkers police also say shoppers should put in a request to have packages placed in a less conspicuous spot, like a side door, or behind a planter or garbage can.
