Lt. Daniel Treacy of the Yonkers Police Department is facing charges in an off-duty accident earlier this month in Bronxville.
Authorities say Treacy was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He also allegedly refused to take a Breathalyzer test.
The accident, which involved Treacy, did not result in any injuries, Yonkers police reported. However, Bronxville police, along with the Yonkers Police Department's Internal Affairs Division, are conducting investigations into the incident.
As a result of the ongoing investigations, Treacy is not permitted to operate any City of Yonkers vehicle until further notice.
Treacy, who serves as a lieutenant in the 2nd Precinct, will remain in his administrative capacity pending the outcome of the investigations. He is scheduled to appear in Bronxville Village Court next week.
