Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano unveiled a new marketing campaign to help the city rebound from the negative economic impacts of the coronavirus.
Officials hope they can convince businesses from the tri-state area to plant their roots in Yonkers and encourage local residents to return to their favorite small businesses.

Most of the businesses are financially unstable, but have the safety measures in place to care for customers.

One of those businesses is La Pinata Bakery, which has been family-owned for nearly 20 years.

They've made the safety changes necessary to bring customers back, but now it's about making sure they do so to keep their doors open.
"Yonkers is back in business, Yonkers has always been good for business. Come to our city, make an investment," says Spano.
The city is also making funds available for eligible small businesses through different types of grants.
