Yonkers man facing charges for hatchet attack at Manhattan bank

A Yonkers man is now facing charges for a hatchet attack at a bank in lower Manhattan.
Surveillance footage captured the entire bloody attack, which police say happened Sunday around 5:20 p.m. at a Chase Bank on Broadway in the Financial District.
The video shows an unsuspecting man using an ATM, when a man in brown walks in with a hatchet in hand, and suddenly slashes the victim in the knee.
The victim in white tries to defend himself with his backpack - as the suspect continues to swing his hatchet.
The man in white loses his backpack but is ultimately able to get hold of the suspect's hand with the weapon.
The suspect is still able to hit the victim on the head.
When the man in white disappears from the video, the hatch-wielding man appears to smash each of the ATM screens.
Police say the person with the hatchet is 37-year-old Aaron Garcia, of Yonkers.
They say the victim is a 50-year-old man, who they found with three slash wounds to his head and a slash to his right leg. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

Police say he does not know his attacker.
The NYPD ultimately arrested Garcia three days later.
Garcia is now charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal mischief.
