A Yonkers liquor store clerk is recovering Thursday after being stabbed during a robbery.According to police, a man entered Raceway Wine and Liquor on Yonkers Avenue around 2 p.m. Wednesday. They say the suspect took a bottle of liquor off the shelf, went to the clerk and displayed a knife. Police say the clerk tried to defend himself and was stabbed in the arm. The suspect then opened the register, grabbed money and fled.

The clerk was treated at Westchester Medical Center for the injury. Police ask anyone with information to contact the Yonkers Police Department at 914-377-7725.
