Yonkers firefighters are preparing to head upstate as the deadly snowstorm in Buffalo continues to wreak havoc all over the area.
With 12 people confirmed dead, dozens of building collapses and thousands of lives still in danger, Buffalo is now bracing for possible flooding. Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Saturday that he is bringing in help from all over the state and the country.
Soaring temperatures are expected on Monday, and possible rain could cause even more buildings to collapse under the pressure of heavier snow.
Fifty-five firefighters from Yonkers and across the county are on a mission to help the city dig out. They will bring a rescue task force to work on any problems with building or roof collapses, and will help out already overworked emergency workers.
