Yonkers firefighters were on the scene of a Thursday night fire.
The fire occurred at 135 Hawthorne Ave. near Herriot Street.
Fire officials said the fire started in a third floor apartment at around 8:30 p.m.
They said it was contained to that unit, but video shows damage to at least one apartment above it.
Officials added that other units in the building suffered severe water and smoke damage.
One witness told News 12 that firefighters were on the scene within two minutes.
The Red Cross was on the scene to assist displaced tenants, who were not being allowed to go back into the units as of Thursday night.
It was not immediately clear what caused the fire, if there were any injuries and the number of people who were displaced as of Thursday night.
