Figure skaters in Yonkers took to the ice Saturday night in a display of form and grace to raise money for a good cause.
The Yonkers Figure Skating Club presented a check for $600 to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
The event was also part of the club's 28th annual charity exhibition, which was held this year at the Murray's Skating Center.
The money was raised through donations from the young skaters themselves.
"Because we're doing our exhibition around Veterans Day, we felt that Tunnel to Tower was the most pertinent organization to give our money to. Being that we're just north of the city, we feel that it helps contribute to those who lost their lives during 9/11," said the Club's Anna Whelan.
Tunnel to Towers Foundation provides financial help to fallen first responders and wounded veterans.
It was established in honor of New York Fire Department firefighter Stephen Siller, who died in the New York City terror attacks on Sept. 11.
