The sounds of scraping shovels and snowblowers were heard across Yonkers Sunday as residents began to clean up and dig out from the historic blizzard of 2016.
Many are having difficulty freeing their cars from the snow.
"The worst part about it is the back pain. You feel it now, you're going to feel it even more later," says Charles Santiago.
Despite ongoing plow efforts, many local streets are still covered by snow.
Some residents living on roads like Sudbury Drive, Frump Street and St. Andrews Place are especially frustrated and say their streets either have not been plowed or that trucks aren't coming quickly enough.
Residents are strongly encouraged to park their vehicles in a driveway or garage.
