Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano is calling on the MTA for relocation of its bus depot after one of their buses crashed into a storefront.

Surveillances video shows the MTA bus striking the storefront Friday afternoon at the corner of Warburton and Ashburton avenues.

The bus also hit two unoccupied parked cars. The bus driver sustained minor injuries and was the only one aboard.

In a statement posted to social media, Spano says the MTA bus depot should be relocated from Yonkers to New York City.

News 12 has reached out to the MTA for a response. The MTA didn’t address Spano’s statement, only saying that the crash is still under investigation.
