Yankees fanatics lined up Wednesday outside the box office to purchase tickets for opening day.
Some fans waited since noon Tuesday, camping out overnight to ensure they scored tickets for the big day at the new stadium April 16.
"It feels great," Robert Bordanaro, a fan, says. "I'm so thrilled to get opening day tickets! I can take my son, my wife, my daughter - it'll be a family day."
Fans say the special $5 tickets and $22 bleacher seats sold out fast. Even those fans who say they've saved money for years just to attend a game at the new stadium were disappointed by the high prices.
Some Yankees fans who lined up Wednesday as early as 6:30 a.m. were unable to get tickets for opening day for less than $100 per ticket. Box office workers say fans can try again for seats on opening day.
